Zhang Weili def. Carla Esparza through accommodation (back bare gag) - Cycle 2, 1:05
Zhang Weili (23-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) was the greatest number one on the card against ladies' strawweight champion Carla Esparza (19-7 MMA, 10-5 UFC), who was risking the belt without precedent for her second stretch with the title. Yet, previous champion Weili satisfied the commitment of those wagering chances and stifled Esparza out in the subsequent round.

Performance of the Night: Alex Pereira
Alex Pereira def. Israel Adesanya through technical knockout (punches) - Cycle 5, 2:01
Alex Pereira (7-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) actually has the Israel Adesanya's number. Pereira upset Adesnaya (23-2 MMA, 12-2 UFC) to bring home the middleweight championship with a fifth-round technical knockout. Pereira had two successes over Adesanya in kickboxing, and was battling for only the fourth time in the UFC. He was down 3-1 on every one of the three appointed authorities' scorecards heading into the last round. Yet, he shocked Adesanya along the wall, then set him aside to win the belt.
Fight of the Evening: Dustin Poirier versus Michael Chandler
Dustin Poirier def. Michael Chandler through accommodation (back bare gag) - Cycle 3, 2:00
The lightweight battle between Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA, 21-6 UFC) and previous Bellator champion Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA, 2-3 UFC) had that supposed "Battle of the Night composed on top of it" energy, and it satisfied everyone's expectations. Poirier had a decent first round, then was overwhelmed by Chandler in the second. Yet, one wrong maneuver by Chandler in the third allowed Poirier an opportunity to pursue a gag, and in the end he sank it in to get the tap.
